As portrait photographers based in Arizona, we simply have an obsession with urban locations that include touches of the desert within the backdrop. After moving our studio over to the MSA Annex, almost 5 years ago, we were thrilled when the opportunity presented itself to go around and photograph Adam Weinstein and Kira Dixon-Weinstein’s lifestyle headshots there. What we love about the Mercado District is that it is filled with such unique culture and charm for a newer developed area. The vibrant steel of the shipping containers and the lively courtyards with mesquite trees creates an appealing environment. Having spent a good amount of time working around the district we were able to photograph our favorite areas.

It was important to Adam and Kira to showcase them together, surrounded by their established and growing project developments within the Mercado District just outside of downtown Tucson, Arizona. It had been a few years since their last headshots and it was time for an update, in a fresh professional way. Keeping the outfit choices neutral means these portraits will have a longer marketing span for their needs. Their newest building ‘Monier’ was the perfect backdrop of clean and bright.
