There’s something so magical about a baby’s first birthday — a milestone that marks not just the growth of your little one, but also the incredible journey your family has taken in that first year together.

We met early in the morning, when the city was just waking up. The soft, warm light poured over the building, and there was a calmness that made it feel like the whole area was ours to explore. It was the perfect environment for capturing baby N’s portraits that felt natural, joyful, and full of life — just like this sweet one-year-old herself.

We wandered throughout the building, explored a mix of greenery, and even found inspiration at a simple concrete area (our favorite) where we captured some playful moments. Every smirk, every curious glance at passing bicycles, every tiny step (and the crawling that followed) was a reminder of how fleeting this stage is.

Urban sessions have a unique energy to them. They blend the beauty of real life and architecture with the magic of a milestone. This session wasn’t about get the perfectly posed portrait, it was about documenting a morning adventure together as a family. Because at the end of the day, the best photographs are the ones that feel like you.

As this sweet girl grows, these images will tell the story of her first birthday portraits and the love that surrounded her. And for her parents, they’ll be a time capsule of these beautiful, fleeting days — a reminder of just how much joy can fit into a single year.
