A personalized family session at home before their son leaves for college was what was most important to these three. Home sessions are some of our favorite to photograph because we will always embrace your spontaneity and comfort; like dipping your toes in the pool and adventures around your property.

From their unwavering love, to the laughter and impromptu inside jokes- their family session was incredibly memorable and overall showcased the true love of a family. Very inspirational.

“When we first found FCO we were drawn to the simplicity and beauty of the images. As a two-mom family, we are of course concerned about bias (because that emerges in the art itself) and whether our family would be comfortable being photographed. It is an artistic partnership of trust after all. Once we met Casia and Eric, the deal was sealed. We knew we had found that artistic partner.”

“Everyone likely has concerns about how things will turn out (the end product). Also the discomfort of being photographed naturally. Casia was wonderful to work with during the photo shoot and we all could joke about aspects of posing. We really had a great time.”

A family session at home means we get to focus on personal touches, areas that are sentimental and where you have shared moments and stories together. Because it is familiar to you, you are much more comfortable and relaxed, and it shows.

It never escapes us what an honor and privilege it is to witness and document true family love. It was a moving experience to be part of something so special as this milestone in their lives. This was prominent especially in their custom framed heirloom portraits.
