These modern architectural portraits with the Hatch family have us reminiscing over two decades of making memories and it’s been nothing short of magic. Their wedding, the birth of their first born, and their growing blended family… We are always in awe of the privilege we have witnessing their bond and incredible story.

The year prior to this session there was an unbelievable accident that could have been fatal; a reminder to not wait, exist in the photos with the ones you love most. Live it, breathe it and take all the good this season of life has to offer. It’s all any of us have.

“We have known Casia and Eric for what feels like a lifetime now. For 20 years they have helped document many milestones for our family. I’m so grateful for their fun yet professional manner behind the camera. They make taking family pictures of seven people feel comfortable and easy. We are honored to know them, they are the best of the best.”

This next mischievous moment happened all on its own, between poses. It has become one of our absolute favorite candids. Those sweet curious eyes and tiny fingers… A glimpse into the minds of two little boys and the fun they must have together daily.

Now with five children, it’s always important that we prioritize what we like to call – a “mini date” between the parents during their family portrait session. Where one of us is hanging with the children (usually Eric) while I (Casia) takes the couple to a more quiet spot so they can really pause and soak up some time together; reflecting on their evolving journey and where it all began. Sometimes we capture laughter and other times silence and tears. It’s a beautiful moment to embrace those feelings.

The Pima Community College West Campus has such different textures, leading light and lines; the simplicity of the spaces draws you in.
