During April’s destination couples’ session, we also had the opportunity to create a fresh collection of personalized lifestyle headshots for her upcoming website launch. It had been over a decade since her last professional session with Fletcher and Co, those original branding portraits, taken in Phoenix, have certainly stood the test of time. But for this chapter, the goal was different: to capture headshots that reflect who April is today… Grounded, evolving, and fully present in this season of life.

To bring this new portrait collection to life, we photographed in two places that hold deep meaning for April. Over the summer, we explored her Redondo Beach neighborhood, where we found textures of rich wood, lush succulents, and winding vines in a natural, coastal palette that felt true to her current roots. Then, in early fall, we reconnected in the Sonoran Desert, capturing her among the warm adobe walls, terracotta tones, and sculptural cacti of Tucson’s Mercado District. Two distinct landscapes, yet a full-circle moment for an art director whose heart lives and creates in both worlds.
